Summary
- Browse freely. You can browse vehicles without an account or any personal information. You sign in only to contact a seller or to list cars.
- Sign in with Apple. Accounts use Sign in with Apple — sellers to list cars, and buyers to reveal a seller's contact number (this protects sellers from spam).
- No advertising. The app shows no ads and contains no advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
- We never sell your data. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
- Payments go through Apple. Subscriptions are processed by Apple; we never see or store your card details.
- Delete anytime. You can permanently delete your account and data from within the app (Settings → Delete account).
1. Who We Are
Gulf Showroom (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a car marketplace application for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries — Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. Car showrooms and dealers list vehicles for sale, and customers browse those listings. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Customers (browsing)
Browsing vehicles does not require an account. We do not ask customers for their name, email, or phone number to browse listings. Any items you save as favorites are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to us.
2.2 Sign in with Apple
The App uses Sign in with Apple for all accounts. When you sign in, Apple shares your name and email address with us (you may choose to hide your email, in which case Apple provides a private relay address). We use this to create and secure your account. We do not use SMS or passwords.
2.3 Buyers who contact a seller
To reveal a seller's phone number (to call or message on WhatsApp), a buyer must sign in with Apple. This keeps seller phone numbers from being collected by anonymous users or automated scrapers. Seller contact numbers are stored in an area readable only by signed-in users.
2.4 Showroom owners (sellers)
When you register a showroom to list vehicles, we collect the information you provide, including:
- Contact phone number — entered by you so interested buyers can call or message you on WhatsApp.
- Business profile — your showroom name, the country and city you select, and an optional logo image.
- Vehicle listings — the details and photographs of the vehicles you choose to publish.
- Subscription status — your current plan and whether it is active (see Section 2.6).
We collect only the country and city you select. The App does not request or collect precise GPS location from your device.
2.5 Information collected automatically
To keep the App reliable and to understand aggregate usage, we collect limited technical information through Google Firebase, such as app interactions, device type and operating-system version, language, and general region. This data is used in aggregate and is not used to build advertising profiles or to track you across other apps or websites.
2.6 Payments and subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are purchased and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card numbers or billing details. We receive only the resulting subscription status (for example, which plan is active and when it renews or expires), which we use to enable the features your plan includes.
3. How We Use Information
- To create and secure accounts via Sign in with Apple.
- To let signed-in buyers contact a seller, and to keep seller phone numbers from anonymous access.
- To publish the vehicle listings that sellers choose to make public.
- To display listings to customers browsing the marketplace.
- To operate subscriptions and unlock the features included in a seller’s plan.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the App.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. What We Do Not Do
- We do not display advertisements or include advertising SDKs.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not collect precise device location.
- We do not request access to your contacts, microphone, or health data.
5. Information You Make Public
If you are a showroom owner, the business profile and vehicle listings you publish are visible to all users of the App. Please do not include sensitive personal information in listing photos or descriptions. You can edit or remove your listings at any time from within the App.
6. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following service providers, who process data on our behalf or as part of their service:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database (Cloud Firestore), file storage (Cloud Storage), serverless functions, and usage analytics. See the Firebase Privacy & Security information and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple (authentication), App Store distribution, and in-app subscriptions. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
7. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure on Google Cloud servers (primarily in the United States). Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and access to stored data is restricted by server-side security rules. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and listing information for as long as your account is active. Showroom owners can delete individual listings at any time within the App.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the App — go to the Profile → Delete account. This immediately and irreversibly removes your account, your showroom and all of its listings, your uploaded images, and revokes your Sign in with Apple authorization. You may also email us (below) to request deletion or a copy of your data, and we will respond within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention requirements.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for businesses and adult users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13.
11. International Users
The App is operated for users in the GCC region, and data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations, which may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be communicated within the App. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
