Privacy Policy for Gulf Stocks

Gulf Stocks is a personal research tool for tracking stocks listed across GCC markets. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information you provide or create

Gulf Stocks may store the following information when you use the app:

• Watchlist symbols, sort order, and saved stock notes.
• Language preference and first-run app preferences.
• Subscription status for Gulf Stocks Pro.
• If you use Sign in with Apple, your Apple-provided account identifier and, if Apple provides them, your name and email address.

Watchlist notes are user-created content. Avoid storing sensitive personal information in notes.

Information collected automatically

The app and its service providers may process:

• Device identifiers and advertising identifiers used by advertising services.
• Product interaction and advertising interaction data.
• Approximate location inferred from IP address, used by advertising services.
• Crash, diagnostic, and performance information from app frameworks and advertising services.
• App Check and security signals used to protect backend services from abuse.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide the watchlist, stock detail, notes, and language features.
• Sync your watchlist and notes across devices when you enable cloud sync.
• Verify and manage Gulf Stocks Pro subscriptions.
• Show ads in the free version of the app.
• Remove ads and unlock paid features for Pro users.
• Protect backend market data services from abuse.
• Improve reliability and diagnose technical issues.

Cloud Sync

Cloud sync is optional and requires Sign in with Apple and an active Gulf Stocks Pro subscription. When enabled, watchlist symbols, sort order, notes, creation dates, and note edit dates are stored in Firebase under your user ID.

If you do not use cloud sync, your watchlist and notes remain stored locally on your device, except for data processed by third-party services described in this policy.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Gulf Stocks receives subscription status and transaction information needed to unlock Pro features and verify entitlement for cloud sync. Payment details are handled by Apple and are not received by Gulf Stocks.

Advertising and Consent

The free version of Gulf Stocks may show ads using Google AdMob. Google and its partners may process device identifiers, advertising data, product interaction data, approximate location, diagnostics, and performance data to provide and measure ads.

Where required, the app asks for consent using Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads. Your device and Apple privacy settings may also affect whether personalized advertising or tracking is available.

Gulf Stocks does not sell your watchlist, notes, or account data.

Third-Party Services

Gulf Stocks uses third-party services including:

• Apple Sign in with Apple and StoreKit for authentication and subscriptions.
• Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Functions, and App Check for account, sync, backend, and abuse-prevention features.
• Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform for ads and consent.
• Market data providers and official market-data import sources for stock prices, charts, and fundamentals.

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the app, or reset the app's data.

Cloud sync data remains stored while your account is active or until deletion is requested. Subscription records may be retained as needed for entitlement verification, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance.

Deleting Your Data

You can remove local watchlist items and notes from inside the app. Deleting the app removes local app data from your device.

To request deletion of cloud sync data associated with your Sign in with Apple account, contact the developer using the contact method below.

Children's Privacy

Gulf Stocks is not directed to children under 13. The app is intended for users who are able to use financial research tools responsibly.

International Data Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, including by Apple, Google, Firebase, and other infrastructure providers.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted in this repository with a new effective date.
