# Privacy Policy for Koratna

Effective date: May 28, 2026

Koratna is a GCC football player ratings app developed by Hamam A. Alabdulla. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use Koratna.

## Information We Collect

Koratna does not require you to create an account with your name, email address, phone number, or password. The app uses anonymous identifiers to support ratings, prevent duplicate submissions, protect the service, and keep the app working.

We may collect or process the following information:

- Anonymous user identifiers, including Firebase anonymous authentication IDs and app-generated device identifiers stored locally in the iOS Keychain.
- Rating submissions, including the player being rated, rating attribute values, timestamps, season information where applicable, and limited player context needed to process the rating.
- App usage and product interaction data, such as screens viewed, searches, filters, rating flow events, paywall views, ad events, language selection, and general app navigation.
- Subscription and purchase metadata, such as StoreKit product identifiers, transaction identifiers, subscription status, restore events, and purchase success or failure status. Payment card details are handled by Apple and are not received by Koratna.
- Advertising and consent data, including whether ads can be requested, ad impressions and errors, consent choices, and advertising identifiers where allowed by your iOS settings and App Tracking Transparency choice.
- Device and diagnostic data, such as device model, iOS version, app version, crash reports, performance data, error logs, and other technical diagnostics.
- Push notification tokens if you allow notifications.
- Local preferences, such as selected language, onboarding completion, subscription cache, consent state, and similar settings stored on your device.

## How We Use Information

We use information to:

- Provide app functionality, including ratings, rate-to-unlock behavior, rankings, subscriptions, and app settings.
- Prevent spam, duplicate ratings, and abuse of the rating system.
- Maintain rating locks and eligibility rules, including annual rating lock behavior.
- Show ads and manage ad consent.
- Process subscriptions and restore purchases through Apple StoreKit.
- Improve app performance, reliability, crash diagnosis, and user experience.
- Understand aggregate app usage and feature performance.
- Send push notifications if you permit them.
- Protect the app and backend through Firebase App Check, authentication, security rules, and server-side validation.

## Ratings and Community Data

Ratings are part of Koratna's community football database. When you submit a rating, it may be combined with other ratings to calculate player statistics, rankings, averages, and unlock status. Ratings are intended to be long-lived because they contribute to aggregate football data and help prevent repeated or abusive submissions.

We do not display your name, email address, or personal profile with ratings because the app does not require that information.

## Advertising and Tracking

Koratna uses Google AdMob to show ads. The app may request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before using data for tracking or personalized advertising. If you deny tracking permission, the app may still show ads, but they may be non-personalized or less relevant.

Google and its partners may process device identifiers, ad interaction data, approximate location derived from network information, and other data as described in Google's policies. You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings and manage ad consent choices where available in the app.

## Third-Party Services

Koratna uses third-party services that may process data according to their own policies:

- Firebase and Google Cloud for anonymous authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions, App Check, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, remote configuration, security, and diagnostics.
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform for advertising and consent management.
- Apple StoreKit and the App Store for subscriptions, purchases, refunds, billing, and transaction validation.
- Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications if enabled.

## Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share or make information available only as needed to:

- Operate Koratna through service providers such as Google Firebase, Google AdMob, and Apple.
- Process subscriptions and purchases through Apple.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our rights, prevent fraud, or protect users and the service.
- Publish aggregated or non-identifying football rating statistics, rankings, and app metrics.

## Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.

- Community ratings and aggregate rating statistics may be retained for the life of the service because they are part of the app's football database.
- Rating lock records may be retained as needed to enforce rating limits and prevent abuse.
- Analytics, crash, and diagnostic data are retained according to Firebase, Google, and internal operational settings.
- Local preferences remain on your device until you change settings, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to iOS behavior such as Keychain retention.

## Your Choices

You can:

- Change app language in Settings.
- Manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Manage tracking permission in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Manage ad consent choices where available in the app.
- Cancel or manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Request access to or deletion of data associated with your anonymous app use by contacting us.

Because Koratna does not require a named account, some requests may require technical identifiers from your device or may be limited if we cannot verify which anonymous records belong to you.

## Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including Firebase security rules, Firebase App Check, server-side rating validation, HTTPS, anonymous authentication, and local Keychain storage for certain device identifiers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## Children's Privacy

Koratna is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Koratna, contact us and we will review the request.

## International Processing

Koratna, Firebase, Google, and Apple may process information in countries other than where you live. By using the app, you understand that information may be transferred and processed internationally where permitted by applicable law.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date. Continued use of Koratna after an updated policy becomes available means you accept the updated policy.
