Who we are

MicOne (نبرة) records, transcribes and summarizes audio. It is developed by Hamam A. Alabdulla. For privacy questions or requests, contact hamam@gccapps.com.

Local recording and optional processing

Recordings, folders, transcripts, summaries and vocabulary are stored on your device. Recording alone does not upload audio. We ask permission when you choose transcription or summarization; you can decline and keep the recording locally. A Firebase anonymous account is created automatically for usage, processing and purchases. Not asking for an email address does not mean there is no cloud account.

What is sent and to whom

For transcription, audio and optional vocabulary pass through Google Firebase to Deepgram, or to OpenAI when the primary service fails. For summaries, transcripts go to Anthropic, or to OpenAI when the primary service fails. Completed results are temporarily stored in a private account recovery journal to prevent lost results or repeated charges after interrupted connections. Processing may take place outside your country; the Firebase relay location does not determine every provider’s processing location.

Usage, purchases and diagnostics

We retain the account identifier, usage counters, subscription status, Apple transaction identifiers and remaining balance to verify access and prevent duplicate credit grants. Apple processes payments; we do not receive card details. Firebase Crashlytics uses crash and diagnostic data and installation identifiers for reliability. Service logs may contain technical request, device and connection data. Slack operational alerts use fixed failure descriptions without your recordings, transcripts or account identifier. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell it.

Service retention and deletion

We attempt to delete uploaded audio immediately after processing, including failed processing. An hourly task targets abandoned uploads within 24 hours, backed by a storage lifecycle rule after one day. Outages and asynchronous storage cleanup can delay deletion. Google Cloud keeps storage recovery copies for seven days after object deletion. Completed recovery results target deletion after 30 days; outages or backlog can delay cleanup. Account, usage and balance records needed to provide the service remain until account deletion, subject to the limited exceptions below.

AI provider policies

From the service update on October 21, 2026, we send Deepgram requests with model-improvement opt-out. According to Deepgram, opted-out audio and transcripts are kept only as long as needed to process the request. Request metadata and usage logs can be retrieved for 90 days, while usage summaries are kept beyond that period; these records do not include audio, text or transcripts. The 90-day period is therefore not a maximum retention period for all operational data. This change does not erase data previously retained by the provider. Anthropic and OpenAI may retain API data under their policies, including safety logs and legal exceptions; we do not claim our accounts have zero data retention. See Deepgram, Anthropic and OpenAI.

Deleting your account and exercising your rights

In MicOne, open Settings → Delete account. After confirmation we delete the cloud account and its active data, and recordings, folders, transcripts, summaries and vocabulary in this installation. Completion is shown only after the steps succeed; a failed step offers Retry. Export important content first. Uninstalling the app alone does not request cloud account deletion. Exported copies, other devices, storage recovery copies and provider retention are separate from deletion of this installation. Deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription; use Manage Apple subscription. Remaining credit is deleted; spent credit is not restored. A new account is created only if you explicitly choose it after deletion.

Minimal records retained to prevent abuse

After deletion, we retain one-way purchase transaction fingerprints to prevent duplicate grants and fingerprints of the deleted account identifier and deletion-recovery token to prevent recreation and confirm completion after a lost response. Completed records contain no audio, text, original account identifier or recovery token. Purchase fingerprints remain while transaction replay is possible; completed deletion-recovery fingerprints have no fixed expiry. An incomplete deletion retains a blocking marker until retry succeeds.

Security, support and children

We use encrypted connections and the iOS app sandbox. Processing-service keys stay on the server. No system can guarantee absolute security. Support email and message content are used to answer requests, under the existing support-correspondence policy of no more than 12 months. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of support correspondence. The app is not directed at children under 13; contact us if a child has supplied data requiring deletion.
